Respite Care
Respite Care is the provision of short-term, or temporary support to those who are caring for family members, or friends who might otherwise require a permanent placement in a facility outside their own home.
There are often times when even the most loving and dedicated of carers need a break. There can be any number of reasons for this; perhaps the carer is themselves unwell, needs hospital treatment or has to be elsewhere, or maybe they are taking a well-deserved holiday?
Our Care Homes can help in these circumstances. We can arrange with you to provide that care and support cover for a short period. Without respite care services, those living at home might have to consider moving to a residential facility. For those living with a learning disability or a dementia, this can be an extremely stressful and upsetting prospect for them and their family.
In these situations, our highly trained and experienced carers and support workers can provide an assessment and then if appropriate, offer support from our Residential Homes, or Home Care service on a temporary basis, be it for a couple of hours to cover a shopping trip, or a few weeks whilst the usual carers are not available.
Our commitment is to provide a stress-free solution to whatever challenges arise in the ongoing support of a family member. This means we are here to help 24/7; and you can be confident that the support is being provided by an organisation and by people who are not only professional, but really do care too!
